The M/V Carnival Spirit in panoramic photos, normal photos and video.
So this is the first Octopus Films post that has nothing to do with cameras, photography or film making, well, kind of does involve cameras, ok it totally does but its not work related. I (Adam Dodd) owner of Octopus Films just spent 10 days on the cruise ship MV Carnival Spirit.
Before booking this cruise I found that there was not a lot of information out there on this passenger ship so I thought I would document it with my iPhone 6+ using the time lapse, pano and good old photo and video functions.
The cruise went from Sydney to Mystery Island to Port Vila then to Lifou Island then finally to Noumea before turning around and heading back to Sydney. We left on January 14 2016 and arrived back in Sydney on January 24th 2016.
This blog post is a work in progress and I will try and update it to be as descriptive as possible. Click on the panoramic images below to open them on a new page then click them again to open them up larger so you can see more detail.
Carnival Spirit atrium. This area is quite impressive with a large bar, dance floor the main reception desk, three glass lifts and a large void from this level to the top deck of the ship which is about thirteen stories high.
This photo was shot from a level that was about one third of the way up the atruim and shows just how tall the void is, it is quite impressive especially condiering you are on a cruise ship.
These two panoramic photos show the interior of the Nouveau resturant in the Carnival Spirit which is located on deck 10 right abouve the atrium.
This time lapse video was shot on deck 3.
